| Containerised
Storage.
Sometimes it is necessary to store furniture and effects
for long or short periods. Abbey Removals specialises in Containerised
Storage.
Moving into store.
When
moving out of your home our staff will place your belongings into
specially constructed containers. These will be transported by our
removal lorry to your home, and your belongings loaded into them
while the container remains on the vehicle. The containers are then
sealed, and fork lifted from the lorry into our security protected
storage facility. Your goods will be returned to you in the original
container, which remains sealed throughout the storage period. The
benefit of this system is that it is secure, dust free and the reduced
handling reduces the risk of damage.
We
will make an inventory of everything that is placed into the containers;
however, we advise that you make a list of the items in each box
to help you when they come out of storage. You will never remember
what is in each box, especially when they have been in storage for
a while.
We
advise that your personal papers and documents should be retained
by yourself. It will be possible (usually for a fee) to search through
your belongings that you have in store, but to find documents and
small items can be difficult and time consuming.
If you do find that you need access to your secure container please
provide us with as much notice as possible. The nature of containerised
storage is that containers are stacked on top of each other within
the warehouse. To provide you access to your container it will have
to be relocated to another area to ensure your safety.
The vehicles that are used to transport containers are very tall,
therefore if you anticipate any problems with the vehicles accessing
your property please advise us as early as possible in order that
we can make the necessary arrangements.
